Terms of Service

1. What TrolleyList is
TrolleyList is a private site run by the person who invited you for invited friends and family. It is free, it has no ads, and it is not a company. To reach the person who runs it, ask the person who invited you.
2. Your account
You need an invitation to join, and you must be 18 or over. One account is for one person. Keep your password to yourself: what is done with your account counts as done by you.
3. What you may put in
Put in your own receipts, lists and spending. Do not put in other people's private details, bank or card numbers, or anything unlawful. Do not try to break the site, get into another account, or copy other people's data out of it.
4. Prices are a guide, not live prices
The prices are not live. They come from receipts that members saved, and from the price lists of shops that the person who invited you typed in, each with the date it was seen. They can be old, misread or wrong, and a shop can change a price at any time. Check the price in the shop. Nothing on this site is financial advice.
TrolleyList is not linked to any shop, and no shop pays for it or checks it. Shop names are only used to say where a price was seen. "Lowest price we know" means the lowest of the prices on this site, not the lowest anywhere.
A price that looks wrong can be reported with "Wrong price?" next to it. A shop that wants a price taken off can ask the person who runs the site, and it is taken off.
5. Split bills: groups and money between friends
Groups only write down who paid and who owes whom. TrolleyList does not move money and does not check that anybody paid. What members owe each other is between them.
6. No promise that it is always there
The site runs on a small private server. It can be off, slow, or lose what was saved. It is offered as it is, without any guarantee. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
7. Leaving, and being switched off
You can stop at any time and ask for your account and what you saved to be deleted. An account that breaks these terms can be switched off.
8. Changes, and the law
When these terms change, the date at the top changes. These terms follow the law of England and Wales.
